Boney M to visit Sunshine Coast
October 8th 2007 22:20
The 1970`s band Boney M are due to play at the Maroochy RSL this Wednesday 10th October. Apparently there are two of the original band members who have reformed the group, touring to play old favourites like 'Ma Baker', 'Daddy Cool', 'Brown Girl in the Ring' and 'By the Rivers Of Babylon'. If interested get your bubblegum ready, your dancing shoes on and be there for the 7pm start! Here are some tunes to get you in the groove...

Thought I'd share something that happened years ago while skiing at Thredbo.
A group of us had heard that The Sweet (of Ballroom Blitz fame) were playing at the Jindabyne Hotel - so nostalgia in hand - we traipsed off - paid our hard earned to the doorman and proceeded to buy a few drinks . . . then a few more and then a few more again.
Come around 11pm - an announcement was made that the group had been delayed - but would be on stage very shortly.
At 11.45 - the band finally made an appearance - problem was - that only one of the group was an original band member - the drummer!
Hope the night goes off for you.

my word how awful for you all! I reckon there would have been quite a few VERY annoyed patrons = at the end of the day they got your cash which is I`m sure All they were concerned about. They have advertised that the male singer (I forget his name) and one of the women singers will be part of the show. Who knows ? Hope you don`t have any similar encounters!

Good to see you. Thanks, lovely sunsets at Hervey Bay.
Friday night I may be under a blanket of stars, high in the treetops of some mountain hideaway or sitting at home in my PJ`s watching the movie on tele - only Friday will tell! I hope you have a good one!!!
